If you've never used wikia or wikipedia before STOP! Skim through the community central help pages to get a basic idea of how the site works.
The images and the icons needed for the site should already be uploaded. If they're not make sure the ones you upload are named and cropped correctly. They have to be png files, this is a common mistake.
The card page templates can be a bit confusing. If you're having trouble, each one has a documentation page that describes what all the variables do and how to make them show up. See: Template:Infobox/doc, Template:Detail/doc, and Template:Combo/doc.
