Trivia[]
- Based on a knight in the Arthurian legend, Lancelot, probably the most famous of all King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table. Son of King Ban of Benwick, and father of Galahad the Grail Hero. He was raised by the Lady of the Lake; his parents fled their kingdom after losing a war, King Ban looked back and, seeing his castle burning, suffered a seizure of some kind, possibly a heart attack. Queen Elaine, hurrying to him, left her son alone for a few moments, and the Lady of the Lake took him. Lancelot plays a part in many of Arthur's victories, but Arthur's eventual downfall is also brought about in part by Lancelot, whose affair with Arthur's wife Guinevere destroys the unity of Arthur's court.[1][2]
